Well, I guess it's my website so I have the ability to share a few thoughts on things that
concern the church, the nation and life in general.
What is the line for Church and Politics
First God is neither Republican nor Democrat - He is God
- As citizens we should participate in the leadership of the country but regardless of party
affiliation remember who ultimately is in control. Don't vote party line, vote on how
God is leading you.
- It is not the responsibility of the Government to care for the orphan or the widow; it is the job of the
church and sadly We the Church have let the people of this nation down far too often. I feel
though that the church did wonders during Katrina, and it was about time we did!
- Regardless of how one feels about the war in Iraq...we need to be praying for our troops; for their safety and
the safety of all people in the Middle East and here.
- we need to pray that the Gospel will reach the hearts of people in the Middle East
both those who live there and those deployed there.
- Regardless of who is in office (president, governor, senate, house etc... we need to pray
for those who have been elected to lead us. This is scripture folks.
Thoughts on Denominations
- I stand by Tertullian's statement, "In essentials Unity, In non-essentials Liberty; in all things grace."
- God reaches people in different ways depending on where the person is in thier life. I feel God is
very active in several denominational churches those with High liturgy or like ours that
practice "freedom in Worship". I can not and will not judge my Father's servants.
- Are there problems with some denominations: Oh Yeah. When a denomination begins to
allow sexual sin or any sin for that matter to no longer be called sin, there is a problem!
God is not mocked and it is a mockery to state by denominational standard that His Word is flawed.
Thoughts on "Christian Media"
- Like most things, there is good and bad out there as far as Christian media.
- I do not allow "Christian Media" to set the tone for the church God has placed me in, The tele-evangelist
is not God's spokesman.
- Far too many self help programs are disguised as Christian. Be careful what we call Christian.
- Several "Christian talk shows" are super hype and miss the point. They wine about losing our rights when
in truth, we who have died with Christ have no rights, only to live for Christ regardless of persecution.
note:The secular media and those who seek to remove Christians from the public view
are doing what thier master requires... are you the Christian doing what our Master requires?"
- Pray for those who spitefully use you or curse you
- Continue to worship God when threatened
- Study your scripture and find His peace
- Raise Holy Hands in Worship of what God is doing
- Sharing your faith not only with words, but in action.
Thoughts on Abortion and the death Penalty
- Abortion is murder - God has created life how dare we take it.
- To fight abortion we must first turn to God in prayer.
- Next we must continue to share God's grace both with those who seek abortions and those
who perform them.
- We must give to those who are seeking abortions better alternatives such as Adoption (again, the church is to care for the orphan and the widow)
The Death penalty is a proper practice so long as due process of law is carried out.
- One condemned should be given opportunity to repent, however rule of law still comes to play. Basically if one
commits a crime deserving the death penalty, they made their choice. Consequences occur with every action.
The war in Iraq....(I was there.)
